Situated on the first floor at the front of the house, the Downshire Bay room is a spacious Victorian King Size with a bright bay window. The room features the Arts and Crafts designs ofWilliam Morris and striking artwork from County Down.

The Downshire Bay Room is an ode to County Down and all it has to offer. County Down stretches from the shores of Belfast Lough, out around Strangford Lough, and down into the magnificent Mourne Mountains.

Lovely stay at Ravenhill House
This B&B is perfectly placed close enough to the city to see the sights but far enough away to relax. The bus connections into the centre are conveniently placed a 5 minute walk away. There are also plenty of nice restaurants and pubs within a short walking distance. The nearby park is also very pleasant.Checking in was simple and Roger was great and very helpful. The room was lovely, spacious and very clean with all we could've needed.I'd stay again if I was visiting belfast. Thanks for having us.

Great base for exploring Belfast
Beautiful house to stay for acouple of nights whilst exploring Belfast. Easy bus ride into the city centre and options for eating evening meal locally.Olive was super friendly, helpful and provided an excellent breakfast accomodating a range of dietary requirements.

Reservations and Payment

The credit/debit card used to make the reservation will be charged seven days prior to arrival date, when you will also receive a guest registration form to be filled out before arrival.
Reservations for the periodSunday 1st August 2027 to Sunday 9th August 2027 (Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2027)will be charged 14 days before arrival.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.

Breakfast

All rates are for rooms only, breakfast can be ordered during your stay if required.
Breakfast is available to order and is served in the dining room. A continental room service breakfast is also available. Charges for breakfast will be debited from your card at the end of your stay. Please see the breakfast menu on our website where all items are individually priced.

Cancellation Policy

We operate a 7 day cancellation policy. This means that if you need to cancel a reservation you should do so 7 days or more before 12 noon on the day of arrival to avoid a cancellation fee. In the event of a cancellation within the 7 day period we will charge the full amount for accommodation.
Reservations during Sunday 1st August 2027 to Sunday 8th August 2027 (Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026) will have a 2 week cancellation policy.
See below for additional cancellation policy for reservations of three or more rooms. Please note departures earlier than scheduled are also treated as a cancellation, therefore the Cancellation Policy will apply.

Smoking

Ravenhill Guest House is entirely a smoke free zone. Any bedrooms tainted by tobacco odours will be specially cleaned and aired over a 24-hour period and all charges resulting from this, both actual and loss of business will be charged to the credit card given to secure the booking.

Arrival and Departure Times

Check in is available from 4:00 - 10:00 pm.
We require guests to provide us with arrival times prior to check in.
If you are arriving by air please give us the flight number so we can be aware of any delays.
Check out time is 11.00 am.

As a courtesy to all guests, please note, Ravenhill House does not accept bookings from Stag/Hen parties.
All guests must be over the age of 21, anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 25.

Losses and Liabilities

You will be liable for any loss, damage or personal injury that you may cause at the hotel and to hotel property. Ravenhill House reserves the right to charge your debit or credit card (before or after your departure) for the full cost of repair or replacement of any damaged property. We will use reasonable endeavours to discuss and agree with you any appropriate charge before departure, but will proceed to charge your debit or credit card if this is not possible.
Ravenhill house does not accept any responsibility for guests’ cars. Use of our car park is done so at the owner’s risk.

Group Reservations

For reservations of three or more rooms our cancellation period is 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival and a non refundable deposit equal to the cost of accommodation for the first night is payable at the time of booking. This means that if one or all of the rooms are cancelled less than 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival we reserve the right to charge in full if rooms are not re-sold.
